Rolls-Royce Introduces Spectre — Its First-Ever Electric Car

As part of its commitment to going all electric by 2030, premium automaker Rolls-Royce has launched the Spectre coupe, its first all-electric vehicle.

Rolls-Royce claims that Spectre is the company’s first vehicle that was designed and constructed from the ground up to be an electric vehicle. This indicates that electric technology has advanced to the point where it is strong enough for premium vehicles, according to Rolls-Royce.

The two-door coupe was dubbed “the most perfect Rolls-Royce product ever manufactured” by company CEO Torsten Müller-tvös.

According to Müller-tvös, “Spectre possesses all the characteristics that have preserved the Rolls-Royce legend.” “It is completely in line with modern sensibilities. It outlines the course for our brand’s future and fully satisfies the need for elevating the experience of driving an electric vehicle from the most affluent people in the world.”

The Spectre is expected to begin shipping to consumers in the fourth quarter of 2023 and is compared to the current Rolls-Royce Phantom coupe in terms of its “indulgent proportions” and headlamp design.

The lines, tapering forms, and use of reflection to include the environment into the design and add to a sensation of fluid motion when the automobile is on the road remind one of modern yachts.

With a drag coefficient of 0.25cd, which is on the low end for cars and meaning it will consume less power to push through the air, the design makes Spectre Rolls-Royce the most aerodynamic car ever.

The car’s streamlined fastback shape, which has a single slope from the top to the tail, helps with this. The vehicle’s rear body panel is the largest Rolls Royce has ever produced, giving it a flawless finish that aids in the low drag.

Over 830 hours of modeling and testing, the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine, which is the brand’s trademark and rests on the front of the car, was improved to make it more aerodynamic.

The massive front grill, which will be subtly lighted at night to give the car a “subtle and three-dimensional night signature,” is one of the other elements that give Spectre a distinctive appearance.
