Land Record Across Balochistan Digitized To Increase Transparency

Mitha Khan Kakar, Adviser to the Balochistan Chief Minister on Information, stated that land records across the province have been digitised, which will promote transparency and prevent future corruption and land grabbing. 

He stated that the digitization of the land registry is part of a larger effort to digitise all government offices. 


Farah Azeem Shah, the spokesperson for the Balochistan administration, and other officials were also there. They provide light on the initiatives of the provincial government in the province. 


According to Kakar, digital facilities such as individual registers, maps, land tax, collecting SMS services, and so on would be offered in Pishin, Gwadar,??Jaffarabad, and Quetta in accordance with the vision of Balochistan’s chief minister. 


He stated that the government of Balochistan, led by Chief Minister Bizenjo, has inked an important agreement with Google, under which 3,000 Baloch youth will receive scholarships. He added that IT education will become more common in the next years and that digitalization of land records will eliminate land conflicts, resulting in economic development and increased trade and agriculture. 


He further stated that as soon as the federal government’s funds arrive in the province, the chief minister will resume development efforts throughout the province. 


On this occasion, Farah Azim Shah, the Balochistan government’s spokesman, stated that Balochistan is the largest province in terms of area?and that the problems suffered by the people due to land management will be remedied with the implementation of a land revenue management system. She stated that the chief minister’s objective is to make Balochistan digital?and that the land revenue management system is part of that ambition.
