Two New Routes Of Women-Only Pink Bus Service Launched In Karachi

The Pink Bus Service, a women-only service, has began operating on two additional routes in Karachi from March 1st.

The statement was made during a meeting in which Information and Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon served as the meeting’s chairman.

The meeting was attended by the Transport Secretary, Abdul Haleem Sheikh, the MD of the Sindh Mass Transportation Authority, Zubair Chana, the PENRIC’s Soheb Shafiq, the Operations Manager, Abdul Shakoor, and others.

Also, it was revealed that starting the day after tomorrow, the Pink Bus Service fleet that runs between Model Colony and Tower Route-1 would be expanded. Route-2 from Power Chowrangi to Indus Hospital and Route-10 from Numaish Chowrangi to Sea View clock tower are the two new routes of the women-only bus service.

The Pink Bus Service would give Karachi’s female residents more amenities for “safe and better travel,” said Memon, who tweeted the news. Indus Hospital Korangi, Nagan Chowrangi, Johar Mour, COD, Drigh Road, Shahrah e Faisal, Shah Faisal colony, Singer Chowrangi, and Korangi No. 5 are among the destinations for the first new road, Route-2, according to him.

According to a tweet he made, Route-10 will pass via Numaish Chowrangi, M A Jinnah Road, Zaibunissa Street, Metropol, Do Talwar, Teen Talwar, Mazar e Abdullah Shah Ghazi, Dolmen Mall, and Sea View Clock Tower.

Memon instructed the NRTC to operate the People’s Bus Service all the way to Hawke’s Bay Road during the conference.a

He advised conducting a study for additional new routes for Karachi’s People’s Bus Service. He said, “I also want additional new People’s Electric Bus Service lines to be launched as soon as feasible.
