The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has?approved the establishment of the CDA Capital Medical College in Islamabad in a high-level meeting.

The estate office and the planning wing have been tasked with locating adequate land for the college. Another key decision was reached during the meeting to allocate property in the Kahuta Triangle Industrial Area for the development of a fire station and a dispensary.

It was reported that the costs for these facilities, which will be constructed on CDA land, would be paid by the local Chamber of Commerce and industry association.

Furthermore, the panel emphasized the importance of installing filtration plants in major business centres. The CDA will be in charge of building these plants, while the business community will be in charge of maintaining them.

In addition, the meeting approved the purchase of land for the Federal Board of Revenue Academy. The CDA board decided?to organise a committee to handle issues concerning residential and commercial structures in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

The committee will also include officials from the?Capital Development Authority (CDA), the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA),?and the cantonment boards.

Besides, the CDA?board is anticipated to approve the establishment of Capital Medical College, a medical and nursing institute.?

The upcoming?meeting will discuss several topics, including the implementation of legislation to prevent tree-cutting?and policies to combat waste dumping in public areas, especially nullahs.

The debate of director jobs in the planning wing is also on the agenda. To fit the city’s expanding limits, the CDA approved many new director positions in the 1990s. However, these posts remained unfilled, increasing stress within the planning wing.
