In a significant move aimed at enhancing public services and transparency, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) unveiled a mobile app on August 31.

This announcement was made during a press briefing attended by Lahore Commissioner and LDA Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa.

The newly introduced LDA mobile app is set to revolutionize the experience for residents of Lahore, offering a comprehensive range of services and essential information at their fingertips. Commissioner Lahore, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, highlighted that the mobile app would provide citizens with convenient access to all LDA services.

One of the app’s standout features is its ability to provide information regarding the status of various private housing societies. This feature empowers potential investors to make informed decisions by verifying the legitimacy of housing societies before making financial commitments.

The app includes extensive lists of approved housing societies while also flagging illegal ones, offering residents protection against potential scams and fraudulent schemes.

To ensure the app effectively caters to citizen needs, a delegation of journalists accompanied Commissioner Lahore and the LDA Director-General on a visit to the One Window Cell. During this visit, active feedback was collected from citizens present at the location, in the presence of media representatives.

Commissioner Randhawa shared insights into the comprehensive overhaul of the One Window Cell and the measures undertaken in accordance with the directives of the Chief Minister. He also unveiled the ‘Dastak LDA at Doorstep’ program, providing free home services to senior citizens aged 75 and above, along with premium services available to citizens willing to pay a fee.

Highlighting improvements in service efficiency, the commissioner noted that the number of pending applications at the window sale had significantly decreased from 1,300 to just 200. The LDA is also actively taking action against illegal constructions and encroachments to ensure orderly development.
