حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ. ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي شُعَيْبٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ الْمَعْنَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْنَا السُّورَةَ، قَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ: فِي غَيْرِ الصَّلَاةِ، ثُمَّ اتَّفَقَا، فَيَسْجُدُ وَنَسْجُدُ مَعَهُ حَتَّى لَا يَجِدَ أَحَدُنَا مَكَانًا لِمَوْضِعِ جَبْهَتِهِ .
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمیں سورۃ پڑھ کر سناتے ( ابن نمیر کی روایت میں ہے ) نماز کے علاوہ میں ( آگے یحییٰ بن سعید اور ابن نمیر سیاق حدیث میں متفق ہیں ) ، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ( سجدہ کی آیت آنے پر ) سجدہ کرتے، ہم بھی آپ کے ساتھ سجدہ کرتے یہاں تک کہ ہم میں سے بعض کو اپنی پیشانی رکھنے کی جگہ نہ مل پاتی ۱؎۔
Narrated Ibn Umar: The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم would recite to us a surah (according to the version of Ibn Numair) outside the prayer (the agreed version goes), then he would prostrate along with him, and none of us could find a place for his forehead.
