United States of America has added 43 entities to the export control list including Pakistani and Chinese companies.
The test flying Academy of South Africa, a flight school under scrutiny by authorities in Britain for recruiting British ex-military pilots to train Chinese military fliers was also added to the list.
The companies, added in the list are restricted from receiving US exports for activities deemed contrary to US interests.
The other companies include Frontier Services Group sites in China, Kenya, Laos and United Arab Emirate; TFASA units in South Africa, China, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom; and AVIC entities in China and South Africa.
The aviation-related companies were included for providing training to Chinese military pilots using western and Nato sources. Thirty one Chinese entities were added to the list.
The Shanghai Supercomputing Technology Co Ltd was added for offering cloud-based supercomputing capabilities to support hypersonic research.
Nine Chinese and Pakistani companies were added to the list, based on their contribution to PakistanÂ’s ballistic missile program and other weapons contributions.
Two companies were included in the list for enabling China to carry out human rights abuses, including as part of its repression of the Ugyhur Muslims and members of other minorities in Xinjiang.
Fiber Optic Solutions in Lativia has been removed from the list. The company which produces fiber optic gyroscopes and other equipment was included in the list in December for contribution to the Russian military and /or defense industrial base.
Moreover, USA said on Saturday that China had been spying from Cuba for some time and it had upgraded its intelligence collection facilities there in 2019. Replying to, this, the Chinese foreign minister spokesman, Wan Wenbin, said in the press conference on Monday, “On the alleged spy activities of China in Cuba, this is a piece of false information.”?
