Virtual Special Technology Zones (STZs) are what the Ministry of IT and Telecom aims to create out of e-Rozgar Centres.

ProPakistani was informed by sources that they would be designated as virtual STZs once 5,000 e-Rozgar centres had been established over the course of two years.

According to sources, this project is also including the Special Technology Authority (STZA). All businesses based in the e-Rozgar centres will have access to the same amenities as those established businesses and start-ups registered with the Special Technology Zones Authority when they are eventually transformed into STZs.

In order to assist freelancers, 5,000 e-Rozgar centres will be opened in small and large cities around the nation in the next two years, according to MoITT officials. This project will cost 50 billion rupees in total.

These abandoned structures in the city will be put to use. The government would subsidise the interest rate and assist the owners of these buildings in obtaining bank loans. The government will provide funding to the building owners so they may create cutting-edge facilities for IT businesses and freelancers.

Freelancing centres, where independent contractors may find space and infrastructure to work and make money, will be constructed in cities’ abandoned buildings, according to MoITT. When the independent contractors obtain the space, they will relocate accountants and other individuals to these centres, which will then serve as community centres for the e-Rozgar platform.

According to sources, e-employment centres will find it simpler to designate exclusive technology zones. The facility will be designated as a Special Technology Zone if it meets the requirements of the Special Technology Zones Authority.
