حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ، قَالَ: حَضَرْتُ عَشَاءَ الْوَلِيدِ، أَوْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، فَلَمَّا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ قُمْتُ لِأَتَوَضَّأَ، فَقَالَ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ: أَشْهَدُ عَلَى أَبِي أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ أَكَلَ طَعَامًا مِمَّا غَيَّرَتِ النَّارُ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ ، وقَالَعَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ عَلَى أَبِي بِمِثْلِ ذَلِكَ.
زہری کہتے ہیں کہ میں ولید یا عبدالملک کے ساتھ شام کے کھانے پہ حاضر ہوا، جب نماز کا وقت ہوا تو میں وضو کے لیے اٹھا تو جعفر بن عمرو بن امیہ ۱؎ نے کہا: میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ میرے والد ( عمرو بن امیہ ضمری مدنی رضی اللہ عنہ ) نے کہا کہ میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے آگ پہ پکا ہوا کھانا کھایا، پھر نماز پڑھی، اور وضو نہیں کیا۔ علی بن عبداللہ بن عباس نے کہا کہ میں اپنے والد ( عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما ) کے بارے میں بھی اسی طرح کی گواہی دیتا ہوں۔
Zuhri said: I had dinner with Walid or Abdul-Malik. When the time for prayer came, I got up to perform ablution. Ja'far bin 'Amr bin Umayyah said: 'I bear witness that my father bore witness, that the Messenger of Allah ate food that had been changed by fire, then he performed prayer, and he did not perform ablution.' (Sahih) And 'Ali bin 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas said: 'And I bear witness to similar from my father.'
