حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا غَيَّرَتِ النَّارُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنَ الْحَمِيمِ؟ فَقَالَ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي إِذَا سَمِعْتَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدِيثًا فَلَا تَضْرِبْ لَهُ الْأَمْثَالَ.

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: آگ پر پکی ہوئی چیزوں کے استعمال سے وضو کرو ، اس پر ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا: کیا ہم گرم پانی استعمال کرنے سے بھی وضو کریں؟ ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: میرے بھتیجے! جب تم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی کوئی حدیث سنو تو اس پر باتیں مت بناؤ ۱؎۔

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that: The Prophet said: Perform ablution after (eating) that which has been changed by fir. Ibn 'Abbas said: Should I do ablution after (touching) hot water? Abu Hurairah said: O son of my brother, when I narrate a Hadith of the Messenger of Allah to you, then do not try to make examples for it.

Abdullah bin Muhammed bin 'Aqil bin Abu Talib narrated from his father that his grandfather said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'A Mudd is sufficient for the ablution and a Sa' is sufficient for the bath.' A man said: 'It is not sufficient for us.' He (the narrator) said: It was sufficient for one who is better than you and had more hair meaning the Prophet.
