حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ خَالَتِهِ مَيْمُونَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِثَوْبٍ حِينَ اغْتَسَلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَرَدَّهُ وَجَعَلَ يَنْفُضُ الْمَاءَ .

ام المؤمنین میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم غسل جنابت کر چکے تو میں آپ کے پاس ایک کپڑا لائی، آپ نے اسے واپس لوٹا دیا اور ( بدن سے ) پانی جھاڑنے لگے ۱؎۔

Ibn 'Abbas narrated that his maternal aunt Maimunah said: I brought a piece of cloth (for drying) to the Messenger of Allahwhen he performed a bath to cleanse himself from sexual impurity. He refused it and began to shake off water.

Abdullah bin Muhammed bin 'Aqil bin Abu Talib narrated from his father that his grandfather said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'A Mudd is sufficient for the ablution and a Sa' is sufficient for the bath.' A man said: 'It is not sufficient for us.' He (the narrator) said: It was sufficient for one who is better than you and had more hair meaning the Prophet.
