حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْالنَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْحُشُوشَ مُحْتَضَرَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِذَا دَخَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلْيَقُلْ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ .

زید بن ارقم رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ پاخانہ جنوں کے حاضر ہونے کی جگہیں ہیں، لہٰذا جب کوئی پاخانہ میں جائے تو کہے:«اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الخبث والخبائث» یعنی: اے اللہ! میں ناپاک جنوں اور جنیوں سے تیری پناہ میں آتا ہوں ۱؎۔

It was narrated that Zaid bin Arqam said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'These Hushush (waste areas) are visited (by devils), so when anyone of you enters, let him say: 'Allahumma inni a`udhu bika minal-khubthi wal-khaba'ith (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from male and female devils).' (Sahih) Other chains with similar wording.

Abdullah bin Muhammed bin 'Aqil bin Abu Talib narrated from his father that his grandfather said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'A Mudd is sufficient for the ablution and a Sa' is sufficient for the bath.' A man said: 'It is not sufficient for us.' He (the narrator) said: It was sufficient for one who is better than you and had more hair meaning the Prophet.
