حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ الْأَنْطَاكِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ، وَمُبَشِّرٌ يَعْنِيَ ابْنَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْحَلَبِيَّ بِإِسْنَادِهِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، قَالَ يَعْنِي الْوَلِيدَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، وَأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: سَيَكُونُ فِي أُمَّتِي اخْتِلَافٌ وَفُرْقَةٌ، قَوْمٌ يُحْسِنُونَ الْقِيلَ وَيُسِيئُونَ الْفِعْلَ، يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ لَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ، يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الدِّينِ مُرُوقَ السَّهْمِ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ، لَا يَرْجِعُونَ حَتَّى يَرْتَدَّ عَلَى فُوقِهِ، هُمْ شَرُّ الْخَلْقِ وَالْخَلِيقَةِ، طُوبَى لِمَنْ قَتَلَهُمْ وَقَتَلُوهُ، يَدْعُونَ إِلَى كِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَلَيْسُوا مِنْهُ فِي شَيْءٍ، مَنْ قَاتَلَهُمْ كَانَ أَوْلَى بِاللَّهِ مِنْهُمْ ، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، مَا سِيمَاهُمْ ؟ قَالَ: التَّحْلِيقُ .
ابو سعید خدری اور انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میری امت میں اختلاف اور تفرقہ ہو گا، کچھ ایسے لوگ ہوں گے، جو باتیں اچھی کریں گے لیکن کام برے کریں گے، وہ قرآن پڑھیں گے لیکن وہ ان کے حلق سے نیچے نہ اترے گا، وہ دین سے اسی طرح نکل جائیں گے جس طرح تیر شکار سے نکل جاتا ہے، وہ ( اپنی روش سے ) باز نہیں آئیں گے جب تک تیر سوفار ( اپنی ابتدائی جگہ ) پر الٹا نہ آ جائے، وہ سب لوگوں اور مخلوقات میں بدترین لوگ ہیں، بشارت ہے اس کے لیے جو انہیں قتل کرے یا جسے وہ قتل کریں، وہ کتاب اللہ کی طرف بلائیں گے، حالانکہ وہ اس کی کسی چیز سے کچھ بھی تعلق نہیں رکھتے ہوں گے، جو ان سے قتال کرے گا، وہ لوگوں میں سب سے زیادہ اللہ سے قریب ہو گا لوگوں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! ان کی نشانی کیا ہو گی؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: سر منڈانا ۔
Narrated Abu Saeed al-Khudri ; Anas ibn Malik: The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: Soon there will appear disagreement and dissension in my people; there will be people who will be good in speech and bad in work. They recite the Quran, but it does not pass their collar-bones. They will swerve from the religion as an animal goes through the animal shot at. They will not return to it till the arrow comes back to its notch. They are worst of the people and animals. Happy is the one who kills them and they kill him. They call to the book of Allah, but they have nothing to do with it. He who fights against them will be nearer to Allah than them (the rest of the people). The people asked: What is their sign? He replied: They shave the head.

Ibn Yahya and Amr added in their version: “ There will appear among my community people who will be dominated by desires like rabies which penetrates its patient”, Amr’s version has: “penetrates its patient. There remains no vein and no joint but it penetrates it. ”

Abdullah bin Ka;b bin Malik who used to lead his father from among his sons when he became blind, said: I heard Kaab bin Malik say: The transmitter Ibn al-sarh then narrated the story of his remaining behind from the prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم forbade the Muslims to speak to any of us three. When ( in this state) abundant time passed on me, I ascended the wall of the garden of Abu Qatadah who was my cousin. I saluted him, but, I swear by Allah, he did not return salute to me. He then narrated the story of the revelation of the Quranic verses relating to his repentance.
