حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّسْتُرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ: قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: هُوَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ مِنْهُ آيَاتٌ مُحْكَمَاتٌ إِلَى أُولُو الأَلْبَابِ سورة آل عمران آية 7، قَالَتْ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الَّذِينَ يَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَابَهَ مِنْهُ فَأُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ سَمَّى اللَّهُ فَاحْذَرُوهُمْ .
ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے آیت کریمہ «هو الذي أنزل عليك الكتاب منه آيات محكمات» سے لے کر «أولو الألباب» ۱؎ تک تلاوت کی اور فرمایا: جب تم ایسے لوگوں کو دیکھو جو متشابہ آیات کے پیچھے پڑتے ہوں تو جان لو کہ یہی لوگ ہیں جن کا اللہ نے نام لیا ہے تو ان سے بچو ۲؎ ۔
Aishah said: The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم recited this verse: “He it is who has sent down to thee the Book: in it are verses basic or fundamental. . . . ” Up to “men of understanding”. She said: The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم then said: When you see those people who follow that which is allegorical in the Quran, those are the people whom Allah has named (in the Quran). So avoid them.

There remains no vein and no joint but it penetrates it. ”

Abdullah bin Ka;b bin Malik who used to lead his father from among his sons when he became blind, said: I heard Kaab bin Malik say: The transmitter Ibn al-sarh then narrated the story of his remaining behind from the prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم forbade the Muslims to speak to any of us three. When ( in this state) abundant time passed on me, I ascended the wall of the garden of Abu Qatadah who was my cousin. I saluted him, but, I swear by Allah, he did not return salute to me. He then narrated the story of the revelation of the Quranic verses relating to his repentance.
