حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، أخبرنا جَرِيرٌ، وَوَكِيعٌ، وَأَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جُلُوسًا، فَنَظَرَ إِلَى الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ لَيْلَةَ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّكُمْ سَتَرَوْنَ رَبَّكُمْ كَمَا تَرَوْنَ هَذَا، لَا تُضَامُّونَ فِي رُؤْيَتِهِ، فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَنْ لَا تُغْلَبُوا عَلَى صَلَاةٍ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا، فَافْعَلُوا، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: 0 فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا 0 .
جریر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم لوگ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ بیٹھے ہوئے تھے کہ آپ نے چودہویں شب کے چاند کی طرف دیکھا، اور فرمایا: تم لوگ عنقریب اپنے رب کو دیکھو گے، جیسے تم اسے دیکھ رہے ہو، تمہیں اس کے دیکھنے میں کوئی زحمت نہ ہو گی، لہٰذا اگر تم قدرت رکھتے ہو کہ تم فجر اور عصر کی نماز میں مغلوب نہ ہو تو ایسا کرو پھر آپ نے یہ آیت «فسبح بحمد ربك قبل طلوع الشمس وقبل غروبها» اور اپنے رب کی تسبیح کرو، سورج کے نکلنے اور ڈوبنے سے پہلے ( سورۃ طہٰ: ۱۳۰ ) پڑھی ۱؎۔
Jarir bin Abdullah said: When we are were sitting with the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم he looked at the moon on the night when it was full, that is, fourteenth, and said: You will see your Lord as you see this (moon) and have no doubts about seeing him. If, therefore, you can keep from being prevented from prayer before the sun rises and before it sets, do so. He then recited: ”Celebrate the praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting”.

There remains no vein and no joint but it penetrates it. ”

Abdullah bin Ka;b bin Malik who used to lead his father from among his sons when he became blind, said: I heard Kaab bin Malik say: The transmitter Ibn al-sarh then narrated the story of his remaining behind from the prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم forbade the Muslims to speak to any of us three. When ( in this state) abundant time passed on me, I ascended the wall of the garden of Abu Qatadah who was my cousin. I saluted him, but, I swear by Allah, he did not return salute to me. He then narrated the story of the revelation of the Quranic verses relating to his repentance.
