حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ النَّسَائِيُّ المعنى، قَالَا: أنبأنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ، أخبرنا حَرْمَلَةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عِمْرَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو يُونُسَ سُلَيْمُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقْرَأُ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تُؤَدُّوا الأَمَانَاتِ إِلَى أَهْلِهَا إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا سورة النساء آية 58، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَضَعُ إِبْهَامَهُ عَلَى أُذُنِهِ، وَالَّتِي تَلِيهَا عَلَى عَيْنِهِ ، قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَؤُهَا وَيَضَعُ إِصْبَعَيْهِ، قَالَ ابْنُ يُونُسَ: قَالَ الْمُقْرِئُ: يَعْنِي إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ: يَعْنِي أَنَّ لِلَّهِ سَمْعًا وَبَصَرًا، قال أَبُو دَاوُد: وَهَذَا رَدٌّ عَلَى الْجَهْمِيَّةِ.
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے غلام ابو یونس سلیم بن جبیر کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو آیت کریمہ «إن الله يأمركم أن تؤدوا الأمانات إلى أهلها *** إلى قوله تعالى *** سميعا بصيرا» اللہ تمہیں حکم دیتا ہے کہ تم امانتوں کو ان کے مالکوں تک پہنچا دو۔ ۔ ۔ اللہ سننے اور دیکھنے والا ہے ( سورۃ النساء: ۵۸ ) تک پڑھتے سنا، وہ کہتے ہیں: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھا کہ آپ اپنے انگوٹھے کو اپنے کان پر اور انگوٹھے کے قریب والی انگلی کو آنکھ پر رکھتے، ( یعنی شہادت کی انگلی کو ) ، ابوہریرہ کہتے ہیں: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اسے پڑھتے اور اپنی دونوں انگلیوں کو رکھتے دیکھا۔ ابن یونس کہتے ہیں: عبداللہ بن یزید مقری نے کہا: یعنی«إن الله سميع بصير» پر انگلی رکھتے تھے، مطلب یہ ہے کہ اللہ کے کان اور آنکھ ہے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: یہ جہمیہ کا رد ہے ۱؎۔
Abu Yunus Sulaim bin Jubair, client of Abu Hurairah, said: I heard Abu Hurairah recite this verse: “Allah doth command you to render back your trusts to those to whom they are due” up to “For Allah is he who heareth and seeth all things”. He said: I saw the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم putting his thumb on his ear and finger on his eye. Abu Hurairah said: I saw the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم reciting this verse and putting his fingers. Ibn Yunus said that al-Muqri said. “Allah hears and sees” means that Allah has the power of hearing and seeing. Abu Dawud said: This is a refutation of the Jahmiyyah.

There remains no vein and no joint but it penetrates it. ”

Abdullah bin Ka;b bin Malik who used to lead his father from among his sons when he became blind, said: I heard Kaab bin Malik say: The transmitter Ibn al-sarh then narrated the story of his remaining behind from the prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم forbade the Muslims to speak to any of us three. When ( in this state) abundant time passed on me, I ascended the wall of the garden of Abu Qatadah who was my cousin. I saluted him, but, I swear by Allah, he did not return salute to me. He then narrated the story of the revelation of the Quranic verses relating to his repentance.
