حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو جَمْرَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: إِنَّ وَفْدَ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ لَمَّا قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَهُمْ بِالْإِيمَانِ بِاللَّهِ، قَالَ: أَتَدْرُونَ مَا الْإِيمَانُ بِاللَّهِ ؟ قَالُوا: اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ، قَالَ: شَهَادَةُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، وَإِقَامُ الصَّلَاةِ، وَإِيتَاءُ الزَّكَاةِ، وَصَوْمُ رَمَضَانَ، وَأَنْ تُعْطُوا الْخُمْسَ مِنَ الْمَغْنَمِ .
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ عبدالقیس کا وفد جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا تو آپ نے انہیں ایمان باللہ کا حکم دیا اور پوچھا: کیا تم جانتے ہو: ایمان باللہ کیا ہے؟ وہ بولے: اللہ اور اس کے رسول زیادہ جانتے ہیں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اس بات کی شہادت دینی کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں اور محمد اللہ کے رسول ہیں، نماز کی اقامت، زکاۃ کی ادائیگی، رمضان کے روزے رکھنا، اور مال غنیمت میں سے پانچواں حصہ ادا کرو ۔
Ibn Abbas said: When the deputation of Abd al-Qais came to the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, he commanded them to believe in Allah. He asked: Do you know what faith in Allah is? They replied: Allah and his Messenger know best. He said: It includes the testimony that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is Allah’s Messenger, the observance of the prayer, the payment of zakat, the fasts of Ramadan, and your giving a fifth of the booty.

There remains no vein and no joint but it penetrates it. ”

Abdullah bin Ka;b bin Malik who used to lead his father from among his sons when he became blind, said: I heard Kaab bin Malik say: The transmitter Ibn al-sarh then narrated the story of his remaining behind from the prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم forbade the Muslims to speak to any of us three. When ( in this state) abundant time passed on me, I ascended the wall of the garden of Abu Qatadah who was my cousin. I saluted him, but, I swear by Allah, he did not return salute to me. He then narrated the story of the revelation of the Quranic verses relating to his repentance.
