حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيٌّ ، عَنْ غَيْلَانَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : إِنَّكُمْ لَتَعْمَلُونَ أَعْمَالًا هِيَ أَدَقُّ فِي أَعْيُنِكُمْ مِنَ الشَّعَرِ ، إِنْ كُنَّا لَنَعُدُّهَا عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْمُوبِقَاتِ ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد اللَّهِ : يَعْنِي بِذَلِكَ الْمُهْلِكَاتِ .

ہم سے ابوالولید نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے مہدی نے بیان کیا، ان سے غیلان نے، ان سے انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے، انہوں نے کہا کہ   تم ایسے ایسے عمل کرتے ہو جو تمہاری نظر میں بال سے زیادہ باریک ہیں ( تم اسے حقیر سمجھتے ہو، بڑا گناہ نہیں سمجھتے ) اور ہم لوگ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانہ میں ان کاموں کو ہلاک کر دینے والا سمجھتے تھے۔ امام بخاری رحمہ اللہ نے کہا کہ حدیث میں جو لفظ «موبقات» ہے اس کا معنی ہلاک کرنے والے۔

Narrated Ghailan: Anas said You people do (bad) deeds (commit sins) which seem in your eyes as tiny (minute) than hair while we used to consider those (very deeds) during the life-time of the Prophet as destructive sins.

Narrated Mujahid: `Abdullah bin `Umar said, Allah's Apostle took hold of my shoulder and said, 'Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveler. The sub-narrator added: Ibn `Umar used to say, If you survive till the evening, do not expect to be alive in the morning, and if you survive till the morning, do not expect to be alive in the evening, and take from your health for your sickness, and (take) from your life for your death.
