حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : أَصْدَقُ بَيْتٍ قَالَهُ الشَّاعِرُ : أَلَا كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مَا خَلَا اللَّهَ بَاطِلُ .

مجھ سے محمد بن مثنیٰ نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے غندر نے بیان کیا، ان سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبدالملک بن عمیر نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابوسلمہ نے بیان کیا اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”سب سے سچا شعر جسے شاعر نے کہا ہے یہ ہے ”ہاں اللہ کے سوا تمام چیزیں بےبنیاد ہیں۔“

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, The truest poetic verse ever said by a poet, is: Indeed! Everything except Allah, is perishable.

Narrated Mujahid: `Abdullah bin `Umar said, Allah's Apostle took hold of my shoulder and said, 'Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveler. The sub-narrator added: Ibn `Umar used to say, If you survive till the evening, do not expect to be alive in the morning, and if you survive till the morning, do not expect to be alive in the evening, and take from your health for your sickness, and (take) from your life for your death.
