حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي الْعِشْرِينِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يُخْبِرُ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَصَابَهُ جُرْحٌ فِي رَأْسِهِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ أَصَابَهُ احْتِلَامٌ، فَأُمِرَ بِالِاغْتِسَالِ فَاغْتَسَلَ فَكُزَّ فَمَاتَ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: قَتَلُوهُ قَتَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ أَفَلَمْ يَكُنْ شِفَاءَ الْعِيِّ السُّؤَالُ ، قَالَ عَطَاءٌ: وَبَلَغَنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لَوْ غَسَلَ جَسَدَهُ وَتَرَكَ رَأْسَهُ حَيْثُ أَصَابَهُ الْجِرَاحُ .
عطاء بن ابی رباح کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے سنا وہ بتا رہے تھے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانے میں ایک شخص کے سر میں زخم ہو گیا، پھر اسے احتلام ہوا، تو لوگوں نے اسے غسل کا حکم دیا، اس نے غسل کر لیا جس سے اسے ٹھنڈ کی بیماری ہو گئی، اور وہ مر گیا، یہ خبر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو پہنچی تو آپ نے فرمایا: ان لوگوں نے اسے مار ڈالا، اللہ انہیں ہلاک کرے، کیا عاجزی ( لاعلمی کا علاج مسئلہ ) پوچھ لینا نہ تھا ۔ عطاء نے کہا کہ ہمیں یہ خبر پہنچی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: کاش وہ اپنا جسم دھو لیتا اور اپنے سر کا زخم والا حصہ چھوڑ دیتا ۔
It was narrated that 'Ata' bin Abu Rabah said: I heard Ibn 'Abbas saying that a man was injured in the head at the time of the Messenger of Allah, then he had a wet dream. He was told to have a bath, so he took the bath, became rigid and stiff, and died. News of that reached the Messenger of Allah and he said: 'They have killed him, may Allah kill them! Is not the cure for a lack of knowledge to ask questions?' 'Ata' said: We heard that the Messenger of Allah said: 'If only he had washed his body and left his head alone where the wound was.'

It was narrated that 'Ammar bin Yasir said: Aishah dropped a necklace and stayed behind to look for it. Abu Bakr went to 'Aishah and got angry with her for keeping the people waiting. It was narrated from 'Aishah that: She borrowed a necklace from Asma', and she lost it. The Prophet sent some people to look for it, and the time for prayer came so they prayed without ablution. When they came to the Prophet they complained to him about that, then the Verse of dry ablution was revealed. Usaid bin Hudair said: May Allah reward you with good, for by Allah, nothing ever happens to you but Allah grants you a way out and blesses the Muslims thereby.

It was narrated from Sa'eed bin 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abza from his father, that: A man came to 'Umar bin khattab and said: I became impure following sexual emission and cannot find any water. 'Umar said to him: Do not pray. But 'Ammar bin Yasir said: Do you not remember, O Commander of the Believers, when you and I were on a military expedition and we became sexually impure and could not find water? As for you, you did not pray, but I rolled in the dust and then prayed. When I came to the Prophet and told him what had happened, he said: 'It would have been enough for you (to do this).' (Then demonstrating) the Prophet struck the ground with his hands, then blew on hem, and wiped his face and palms with them.
