حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُجَالِدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، قَالَ: لَقِيتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، فَقَالَ: مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ فَقُلْتُ: مَسْرُوقُ بْنُ الْأَجْدَعِ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: الْأَجْدَعُ شَيْطَانٌ .
مسروق کہتے ہیں کہ میری ملاقات عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ سے ہوئی، تو انہوں نے پوچھا: تم کون ہو؟ میں نے عرض کیا: میں مسروق بن اجدع ہوں، ( یہ سن کر ) عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ اجدع ایک شیطان ہے ۔
It was narrated that Masruq said: I met 'Umar bin Khattab and he said: 'Who are you?' I said: 'Masruq bin Adja'.' 'Umar said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) saying, Ajda' is a devil.
