حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ، أَنَّ شَاةً لِمَوْلَاةِ مَيْمُونَةَ، مَرَّ بِهَا يَعْنِي: النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ أُعْطِيَتْهَا مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ مَيْتَةً، فَقَالَ: هَلَّا أَخَذُوا إِهَابَهَا فَدَبَغُوهُ فَانْتَفَعُوا بِهِ ، فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ، قَالَ: إِنَّمَا حُرِّمَ أَكْلُهَا .
ام المؤمنین میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ ان کی ایک لونڈی کو صدقہ کی ایک بکری ملی تھی جو مری پڑی تھی، نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا گزر اس بکری کے پاس ہوا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ان لوگوں نے اس کی کھال کیوں نہیں اتار لی کہ اسے دباغت دے کر کام میں لے آتے ؟ لوگوں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! یہ تو مردار ہے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: صرف اس کا کھانا حرام ہے ۱؎۔
It was narrated from Maimunah that he (meaning the Prophet (ﷺ)) passed by a dead sheep belonging to the freed slave woman of Maimunah, that had been given to her in charity. He said: “Why don’t they take its skin and ten it, and make us of it?” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, it is dead meat.”* He said: “It is only unlawful to eat it.”
