حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنْبَأَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا، وَتَصَدَّقُوا، وَالْبَسُوا، مَا لَمْ يُخَالِطْهُ إِسْرَافٌ، أَوْ مَخِيلَةٌ .
عبداللہ بن عمرو بن العاص رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہعلیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کھاؤ پیو، صدقہ و خیرات کرو، اور پہنو ہر وہ لباس جس میں اسراف و تکبر ( فضول خرچی اور گھمنڈ ) کی ملاوٹ نہ ہو ۱؎۔
It was narrated from ‘Amr bin Shu’aib, from his father, that his grandfather said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Eat and drink, give charity and wear clothes, as long as that does not involve any extravagance or vanity.’”
