حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَزِّمِ، عَنْأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ ّالنَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ فِي ذُيُولِ النِّسَاءِ: شِبْرًا ، فَقَالَتْ: عَائِشَةُ: إِذًا تَخْرُجَ سُوقُهُنَّ، قَالَ: فَذِرَاعٌ .
ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عورتوں کے دامن کے سلسلے میں فرمایا: ایک بالشت کا ہو ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے عرض کیا کہ اتنے میں تو پنڈلی کھل جائے گی؟ فرمایا: تو پھر ایک ہاتھ ہو ۔
It was narrated from ‘Aishah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, concerning how long a woman’s hem should hang down: “A hand span.” ‘Aishah said: “This may show her calves.” He said: “Then a forearm’s length.”
