حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَنْ جَرَّ إِزَارَهُ مِنَ الْخُيَلَاءِ، لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، قَالَ: فَلَقِيتُ بْنَ عُمَرَبِالْبَلَاطِ، فَذَكَرْتُ لَهُ حَدِيثَ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: وَأَشَارَ إِلَى أُذُنَيْهِ، سَمِعَتْهُ أُذُنَايَ وَوَعَاهُ قَلْبِي.
ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جس نے غرور و تکبر سے اپنا تہبند گھسیٹا، اللہ تعالیٰ ایسے شخص کی طرف قیامت کے روز نہیں دیکھے گا ۔ عطیہ کہتے ہیں کہ مقام بلاط میں میری ملاقات ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے ہوئی تو میں نے ان سے ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ کی یہ حدیث بیان کی جو انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کی، تو ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے اپنے کانوں کی طرف اشارہ کر کے کہا: اسے میرے کانوں نے بھی سنا ہے، اور میرے دل نے اسے محفوظ رکھا ہے۔
It was narrated from ‘Atiyyah, that Abu Sa’eed said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Whoever lets his lower wrap drag out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection.”
