حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي الْخَصِيبِ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عِيسَى، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ أَهْلُ بَيْتٍ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ يُقَالُ لَهُمْ، آلُ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ يَرْقُونَ مِنَ الْحُمَةِ، وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ نَهَى عَنِ الرُّقَى، فَأَتَوْهُ فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّكَ قَدْ نَهَيْتَ عَنِ الرُّقَى، وَإِنَّا نَرْقِي مِنَ الْحُمَةِ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ: اعْرِضُوا عَلَيَّ ، فَعَرَضُوهَا عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: لَا بَأْسَ بِهَذِهِ هَذِهِ مَوَاثِيقُ .
جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ انصار کا آل عمرو بن حزم نامی گھرانہ زہریلے ڈنک پر جھاڑ پھونک کیا کرتا تھا، جبکہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جھاڑ پھونک کرنے سے منع فرمایا تھا، چنانچہ ان لوگوں نے آپ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہو کر عرض کیا کہ اللہ کے رسول! آپ نے دم کرنے سے روک دیا ہے حالانکہ ہم لوگ زہریلے ڈنک پر جھاڑ پھونک کرتے ہیں؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اپنا جھاڑ پھونک ( منتر ) مجھے سناؤ ، تو انہوں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو پڑھ کر سنایا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اس میں کوئی مضائقہ نہیں، یہ تو «اقرارات ہیں» ( یعنی ثابت شدہ ہیں ) ۔
It was narrated that Jabir said: “There was a family among the Ansar, called Al ‘Amr bin Hazm, who used to recite Ruqyah for the scorpion sting, but the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade Ruqyah. They came to him and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! You have forbidden Ruqyah, but we recite Ruqyah against the scorpion’s sting.’ He said to them: ‘Recite it to me.’ So they recited it to him, and he said: ‘There is nothing wrong with this, this is confirmed.’”

It was narrated that Usamah bin Sharik said: “I saw the Bedouins asking the Prophet (ﷺ): ‘Is there any harm in such and such, is there any harm in such and such?’ He said to them: ‘O slaves of Allah! Allah has only made harm in that which transgresses the honor of one’s brother. That is what is sinful.’ They said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! Is there any sin if we do not seek treatment?’ He said: ‘Seek treatment, O slaves of Allah! For Allah does not create any disease but He also creates with it the cure, except for old age.’ They said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, what is the best thing that a person may be given?’ He said: ‘Good manners.’”
