حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ أَبِي هِلَالٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَوَادَةَ، عَنْأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَتَغَدَّى، فَقَالَ: ادْنُ فَكُلْ ، فَقُلْتُ: إِنِّي صَائِمٌ، فَيَا لَهْفَ نَفْسِي! هَلَّا كُنْتُ طَعِمْتُ مِنْ طَعَامِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ (جو قبیلہ بنی عبدالاشہل کے ایک شخص ہیں) کہتے ہیں کہ میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا، اس وقت آپ دوپہر کا کھانا کھا رہے تھے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: آؤ کھانا کھاؤ ،، میں نے عرض کیا: میں روزے سے ہوں، تو ہائے افسوس کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے کھانے میں سے کیوں نہیں کھا لیا
It was narrated that Anas bin Malik – a man from the tribe of Banu ‘Abdul-Ashhal – said: * “I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) when he was eating breakfast and he said: ‘Come and eat.’ I said: ‘I am fasting. Alas! Would that I had eaten of the food of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).’”

‘Abdullah bin Salam said: “When the Prophet (ﷺ) came to Al-Madinah, the people rushed to meet him, and it was said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has come! The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has come!
