حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ بَكْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُسْأَلُ يَوْمَ مِنًى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ لَا حَرَجَ لَا حَرَجَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَلَقْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَذْبَحَ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا حَرَجَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ رَمَيْتُ بَعْدَ مَا أَمْسَيْتُ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا حَرَجَ .

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   منیٰ کے دن رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا جاتا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرماتے: کوئی حرج نہیں، کوئی حرج نہیں ، ایک شخص نے آ کر کہا: میں نے قربانی سے پہلے حلق کر لیا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کوئی بات نہیں ، دوسرا بولا: میں نے رمی شام کو کی، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کوئی بات نہیں ۱؎۔

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked on the Day of Mina, and he would say: ‘There is no harm in that, there is no harm in that.’ A man came to him and said: ‘I shaved my head before I slaughtered (my sacrifice),’ and he said: ‘There is no harm in that.’ He said: ‘I stoned (the Pillar) after evening came,’ and he said: ‘There is no harm in that.’”

It was narrated that ‘Ali said: “When the following was revealed: “And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House (Ka’bah) is a duty that mankind owes to Allah, for whoever can bear the way.” [3:97] They asked: ‘O Messenger of Allah, is Hajj every year?’ He remained silent. They asked: ‘Is it every year?’ He said: ‘No. If I had said yes, it would have become obligatory.’ Then the following was revealed: “O you who believe! Ask not about things which, if made plain to you, may cause you trouble.’” [5:101]

It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said: “They said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, is Hajj (required) every year?’ He said: ‘If I were to say yes, it would have become obligatory, and if it were to become obligatory, you would not (be able to) do it, and if you did not do it you would be punished.’”

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that Aqra’ bin Habis asked the Prophet (ﷺ): “O Messenger of Allah, is Hajj (required) every year, or just once” He said: “Rather it is just once. And whoever can perform Hajj voluntarily, let him do so.”
