حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِخَمْسٍ بَقِينَ مِنْ ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ لَا نُرَى إِلَّا الْحَجَّ، حَتَّى إِذَا قَدِمْنَا وَدَنَوْنَا، أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ أَنْ يَحِلَّ، فَحَلَّ النَّاسُ كُلُّهُمْ إِلَّا مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ، دُخِلَ عَلَيْنَا بِلَحْمِ بَقَرٍ، فَقِيلَ: ذَبَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ، وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أَزْوَاجِهِ .
ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ جب ذی قعدہ کے پانچ دن باقی تھے تو ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ نکلے، ہمارے پیش نظر صرف حج تھا، جب ہم مکہ پہنچے یا اس سے قریب ہوئے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان لوگوں کو جن لوگوں کے پاس ہدی ( قربانی ) کا جانور نہیں تھا احرام کھول دینے کا حکم دیا، تو سارے لوگوں نے احرام کھول دیا، سوائے ان لوگوں کے جن کے پاس ہدی ( قربانی ) کے جانور تھے، پھر جب نحر کا دن ( ذی الحجہ کا دسواں دن ) ہوا تو ہمارے پاس گائے کا گوشت لایا گیا، لوگوں نے کہا: یہ گائے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنی بیویوں کی طرف سے ذبح کی ہے۔
It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “We went out with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) when there were five nights left of Dhul-Qa’dah, intending only to perform Hajj. When we came close, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ordered that whoever did not have a sacrificial animal, then he should exit the Ihram. So all the people exited Ihram, except those who had the sacrificial animal. When the Day of Sacrifice i.e., the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah) came, some beef was brought to us, and it was said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has offered a sacrifice on behalf of his wives.’”

They asked: ‘Is it every year?’ He said: ‘No. If I had said yes, it would have become obligatory.’ Then the following was revealed: “O you who believe! Ask not about things which, if made plain to you, may cause you trouble.’” [5:101]
