حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي السَّفَرِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُالشَّعْبِيَّ، يَقُولُ: جَالَسْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ سَنَةً فَمَا سَمِعْتُهُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا .
عبداللہ بن ابی السفر کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے شعبی کو کہتے سنا: میں سال بھر ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کی مجلسوں میں رہا لیکن میں نے ان سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کوئی چیز بیان کرتے ہوئے نہیں سنا۔
It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Abu Safar said: I heard Ash-Sha'bi saying: 'I sat with Ibn 'Umar for a year and I did not hear him narrate anything from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
