حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا وَبْرُ بْنُ أَبِي دُلَيْلَةَ الطَّائِفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِيمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مُسَيْكَةَ، قَالَ وَكِيعٌ: وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ خَيْرًا، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الشَّرِيدِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَيُّ الْوَاجِدِ يُحِلُّ عِرْضَهُ وَعُقُوبَتَهُ ، قَالَ عَلِيٌّ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ: يَعْنِي عِرْضَهُ شِكَايَتَهُ وَعُقُوبَتَهُ سِجْنَهُ.
شرید رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو قرض ادا کر سکتا ہو اس کا ٹال مٹول کرنا اس کی عزت کو حلال کر دیتا ہے، اور اس کو سزا ( عقوبت ) پہنچانا جائز ہو جاتا ہے ۔ علی طنافسی کہتے ہیں: عزت حلال ہونے کا مطلب ہے کہ قرض خواہ اس کے نادہند ہونے کی شکایت لوگوں سے کر سکتا ہے، اور عقوبت پہنچانے کے معنیٰ اس کو قید میں ڈال دینے کے ہیں۔
It was narrated from 'Amr bin Sharid that his father said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “If one who can afford it delays repayment, his honor and punishment become permissible.”
