حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَهْبِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْزُوقُ بْنُ أَبِي الْهُذَيْلِ، حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَغَرُّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّ مِمَّا يَلْحَقُ الْمُؤْمِنَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ، وَحَسَنَاتِهِ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهِ، عِلْمًا عَلَّمَهُ وَنَشَرَهُ، وَوَلَدًا صَالِحًا تَرَكَهُ، وَمُصْحَفًا وَرَّثَهُ، أَوْ مَسْجِدًا بَنَاهُ، أَوْ بَيْتًا لِابْنِ السَّبِيلِ بَنَاهُ، أَوْ نَهْرًا أَجْرَاهُ، أَوْ صَدَقَةً أَخْرَجَهَا مِنْ مَالِهِ فِي صِحَّتِهِ وَحَيَاتِهِ يَلْحَقُهُ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَوْتِهِ .
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: مومن کو اس کے اعمال اور نیکیوں میں سے اس کے مرنے کے بعد جن چیزوں کا ثواب پہنچتا رہتا ہے وہ یہ ہیں: علم جو اس نے سکھایا اور پھیلایا، نیک اور صالح اولاد جو چھوڑ گیا، وراثت میں قرآن مجید چھوڑ گیا، کوئی مسجد بنا گیا، یا مسافروں کے لیے کوئی مسافر خانہ بنوا دیا ہو، یا کوئی نہر جاری کر گیا، یا زندگی اور صحت و تندرستی کی حالت میں اپنے مال سے کوئی صدقہ نکالا ہو، تو اس کا ثواب اس کے مرنے کے بعد بھی اسے ملتا رہے گا ۔
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'The rewards of the good deeds that will reach a believer after his death are: Knowledge which he taught and spread; a righteous son whom he leaves behind; a copy of the Qur'an that he leaves as a legacy; a mosque that he built; a house that he built for wayfarers; a canal that he dug; or charity that he gave during his lifetime when he was in good health. These deeds will reach him after his death.'

Abu Darda' said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came out to us when we were speaking of poverty and how we feared it. He said: 'Is it poverty that you fear? By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, (the delights and luxuries of) this world will come to you in plenty, and nothing will cause the heart of anyone of you to deviate except that. By Allah, I am leaving you upon something like Bayda (white, bright, clear path) the night and day of which are the same.'
