حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، حَدَّثَنِي شُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيَّ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: لَا تُنْفِقُ الْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ بَيْتِهَا شَيْئًا إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ زَوْجِهَا ، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، وَلَا الطَّعَامَ، قَالَ: ذَلِكَ مِنْ أَفْضَلِ أَمْوَالِنَا .
ابوامامہ باہلی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: عورت اپنے گھر میں سے اپنے شوہر کی اجازت کے بغیر کچھ خرچ نہ کرے لوگوں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! کھانا بھی کسی کو نہ دے؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ہاں، کھانا بھی نہ دے، یہ تو ہمارے مالوں میں سب سے بہتر مال ہے ۔
Shurahbil bin Muslim Al-Khawlani said: I heard Abu Umamah Al-Bahili say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: No woman should spend anything from her house without her husband's permission. They said: O Messenger of Allah, not even food? He said: That is among the best of our wealth.

He said: 'There is nothing wrong with being rich for one who has piety, but good health for one who has piety is better than riches, and being of good cheer is a blessing.
