حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَتْ: إِنَّ أُمِّي تُوُفِّيَتْ، وَعَلَيْهَا نَذْرُ صِيَامٍ، فَتُوُفِّيَتْ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَقْضِيَهُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لِيَصُمْ عَنْهَا الْوَلِيُّ .
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ ایک عورت رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئی، اور اس نے کہا: میری ماں کا انتقال ہو گیا، اور ان کے ذمہ روزوں کی نذر تھی، اور وہ اس کی ادائیگی سے پہلے وفات پا گئیں، تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ان کا ولی ان کی جانب سے روزے رکھے ۱؎۔
It was narrated from Jabir bin 'Abdullsh that : a woman came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: My mother has died, and she had made a vow to fast, but she died before she could fulfill it. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Let her guardian fast on her behalf .

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Allah forbids you from making oaths by your forefathers. 'Umar said: I never took an oath by them (i.e., my forefathers) myself nor narrating such words from anyone else.
