حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ النَّضْرِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: رَأَى عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ رَجُلًا يَسْرِقُ، فَقَالَ: أَسَرَقْتَ، قَالَ: لَا وَالَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ، فَقَالَ عِيسَى: آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ وَكَذَّبْتُ بَصَرِي .
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: عیسیٰ بن مریم علیہ السلام نے ایک شخص کو چوری کرتے ہوئے دیکھا تو فرمایا: تم نے چوری کی ہے؟ اس نے کہا: نہیں، قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں، عیسیٰ علیہ السلام نے کہا: میں اللہ پر ایمان لایا، اور میں نے اپنی آنکھ کو جھٹلا دیا ۱؎۔
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Eisa bin Maryam saw a man stealing and said: 'Did you steal?' He said: 'No, by the One besides Whom there is no other God.' 'Eisa said: 'I believe in Allah, and I do not believe what my eyes see.'

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Allah forbids you from making oaths by your forefathers. 'Umar said: I never took an oath by them (i.e., my forefathers) myself nor narrating such words from anyone else.
