حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْعَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: أَرْبَعٌ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ لَا مُلَاعَنَةَ بَيْنَهُنَّ النَّصْرَانِيَّةُ تَحْتَ الْمُسْلِمِ، وَالْيَهُودِيَّةُ تَحْتَ الْمُسْلِمِ، وَالْحُرَّةُ تَحْتَ الْمَمْلُوكِ، وَالْمَمْلُوكَةُ تَحْتَ الْحُرِّ .
عبداللہ بن عمرو بن العاص رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: چار قسم کی عورتوں میں لعان نہیں ہے، ایک تو نصرانیہ جو کسی مسلمان کے نکاح میں ہو، دوسری یہودیہ جو کسی مسلمان کے نکاح میں ہو، تیسری آزاد عورت جو کسی غلام کے نکاح میں ہو، چوتھی لونڈی جو کسی آزاد مرد کے نکاح میں ہو ۱؎۔
It was nanated from 'Amr bin Shu'aib, from his father, from his grandfather, that: the Prophet (ﷺ) said: There are four kinds of women for whom there is no Li'an: a Christian woman married to a Muslim, a Jewish woman married to a Muslim, a free woman married to a slave, and a slave woman married to a free man.

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: I divorced my wife when she was menstruating. 'Umar mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah and he said: 'Tell him to take her back until she becomes pure (i.e., her period ends), then she has her period (again), then she becomes pure (again), then if he wishes he may divorce her before having sexual relations with her, and if he wishes he may keep her. This is the waiting period that Allah has enjoined.'
