حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْوَدَّاكِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيَضْحَكُ إِلَى ثَلَاثَةٍ لِلصَّفِّ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، وَلِلرَّجُلِ يُصَلِّي فِي جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ، وَلِلرَّجُلِ يُقَاتِلُ أُرَاهُ قَالَ: خَلْفَ الْكَتِيبَةِ .
ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: بیشک اللہ تعالیٰ تین طرح کے لوگوں کو دیکھ کر ہنستا ہے: ایک نماز میں نمازیوں کی صف، دوسرا وہ شخص جو رات کے درمیانی حصہ میں اٹھ کر نماز پڑھتا ہے، تیسرا وہ شخص جو جہاد کرتا ہے ۔ راوی کہتے ہیں: میرا خیال ہے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: لشکر کے پیچھے ، یعنی ان کے بھاگ جانے کے بعد۔
It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah smiles at three things: a row in the prayer, a man who prays in the depths of the night, and a man who fights' I think he said, 'behind the battalion.'

By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, (the delights and luxuries of) this world will come to you in plenty, and nothing will cause the heart of anyone of you to deviate except that. By Allah, I am leaving you upon something like Bayda (white, bright, clear path) the night and day of which are the same.'
