حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا شُجَاعُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَجَلِيِّ، قَالَ: كُنَّا نَرَى الِاجْتِمَاعَ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْمَيِّتِ وَصَنْعَةَ الطَّعَامِ مِنَ النِّيَاحَةِ .
جریر بن عبداللہ بجلی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم میت کے گھر والوں کے پاس جمع ہونے اور ان کے لیے ان کے گھر کھانا تیار کرنے کو نوحہ سمجھتے تھے۔
It was narrated that Jarir bin ‘Abdullah Al-Bajali said: “We used to think that gathering with the family of the deceased and preparing food was a form of wailing.”

Hadith 1433
It was narrated that ‘Ali said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The Muslim has six courtesies due from the Muslim: He should greet him with Salam when he meets him; he should accept his invitation if he invites him; he should answer [by Yarhamuk-Allah (may Allah have mercy on you)] to him if he sneezes (and says Al- Hamdulillah); he should visit him if he falls sick; he should follow his funeral if he dies; and he should love for him what he loves for himself.”
