حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ شَبَّةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ طُفَيْلٍ الْمُقْرِئُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ الْقُرَشِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ لَمَّا مَاتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اخْتَلَفُوا فِي اللَّحْدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالشَّقِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَتَّى تَكَلَّمُوا فِي ذَلِكَ وَارْتَفَعَتْ أَصْوَاتُهُمْ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ عُمَرُ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تَصْخَبُوا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَيًّا وَلَا مَيِّتًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ كَلِمَةً نَحْوَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَرْسَلُوا إِلَى الشَّقَّاقِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاللَّاحِدِ جَمِيعًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَجَاءَ اللَّاحِدُ فَلَحَدَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ دُفِنَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا انتقال ہو گیا، تو لوگوں نے بغلی اور صندوقی قبر کے سلسلے میں اختلاف کیا، یہاں تک کہ اس سلسلے میں باتیں بڑھیں، اور لوگوں کی آوازیں بلند ہوئیں، تو عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس زندگی میں یا موت کے بعد شور نہ کرو، یا ایسا ہی کچھ کہا، بالآخر لوگوں نے بغلی اور صندوقی قبر بنانے والے دونوں کو بلا بھیجا، تو بغلی قبر بنانے والا پہلے آ گیا، اس نے بغلی قبر بنائی، پھر اس میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دفن کیا گیا۔

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) died, they differed as to whether his grave should have a niche or a ditch in the ground, until they spoke and raised their voices concerning that. Then ‘Umar said: ‘Do not shout in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), living or dead,’ or words to that effect. So they sent for both the one who made a niche and the one who dug graves without a niche, and the one who used to make a niche came and dug a grave with a niche for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), then he (ﷺ) was buried.”

It was narrated that ‘Ali said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The Muslim has six courtesies due from the Muslim: He should greet him with Salam when he meets him; he should accept his invitation if he invites him; he should answer [by Yarhamuk-Allah (may Allah have mercy on you)] to him if he sneezes (and says Al- Hamdulillah); he should visit him if he falls sick; he should follow his funeral if he dies; and he should love for him what he loves for himself.”

It was narrated from Abu Mas’ud that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The Muslim has four things due from the Muslim: He should answer [by saying Yarhamuk-Allah (may Allah have mercy on you)] to him if he sneezes (and says Al-Hamdulillah); he should accept his invitation if he invites him; he should attend his funeral if he dies; and he should visit him if he falls sick.”

Hadith 1435

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Five are the rights of the Muslim: Returning his greeting, accepting his invitation; attending his funeral; visiting the sich; and answering (saying Yarhamuk-Allah) to the one who sneezes, if he praises Allah (says Al-Hamdu Lillah).”
