حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، جَمِيعًا، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنْ صِلَةَ بْنِ زُفَرَ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِأَهْلِ نَجْرَانَ: سَأَبْعَثُ مَعَكُمْ رَجُلًا أَمِينًا حَقَّ أَمِينٍ ، قَالَ: فَتَشَوَّفَ لَهَا النَّاسُ، فَبَعَثَ أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ بْنَ الْجَرَّاحِ .
حذیفہ بن الیمان رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اہل نجران سے فرمایا: میں تمہارے ساتھ ایک ایسے امانت دار آدمی کو بھیجوں گا جو انتہائی درجہ امانت دار ہے ، حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: لوگ اس امین شخص کی جانب گردنیں اٹھا کر دیکھنے لگے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ابوعبیدہ بن جراح کو بھیجا۔
It was narrated from Hudhaifah that: The Messenger of Allah said to the people of Najran: I will send you a trustworthy man with you, who is indeed trustworthy. The people craned their necks to see, and he sent Abu 'Ubaidah bin Jarrah.

By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, (the delights and luxuries of) this world will come to you in plenty, and nothing will cause the heart of anyone of you to deviate except that. By Allah, I am leaving you upon something like Bayda (white, bright, clear path) the night and day of which are the same.'
