Establishing the Prayer and the Sunnah Regarding Them

اسماء بنت ابی بکر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتی ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے گہن کی نماز پڑھائی، اور کافی لمبا قیام کیا، پھر کافی لمبا رکوع کیا، پھر رکوع سے سر اٹھایا تو کافی لمبا قیام کیا، پھر کافی لمبا رکوع کیا، پھر رکوع سے سر اٹھایا، پھر سجدہ کیا تو کافی لمبا سجدہ کیا، پھر سجدے سے سر اٹھایا، پھر سجدہ کیا، اور کافی لمبا سجدہ کیا، پھر سجدے سے سر اٹھایا اور لمبا قیام کیا، پھر لمبا رکوع کیا، پھر رکوع سے سر اٹھایا اور لمبا قیام کیا، پھر لمبا رکوع کیا پھر رکوع سے سر اٹھایا اور لمبا سجدہ کیا، پھر سجدہ سے سر اٹھایا اور لمبا سجدہ کیا، جب آپ نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو فرمایا: جنت مجھ سے اتنی قریب ہو گئی کہ اگر میں جرات کرتا تو تمہارے پاس اس کے خوشوں ( گچھوں ) میں سے کوئی خوشہ ( گچھا ) لے کر آتا، اور جہنم بھی مجھ سے اتنی قریب ہو گئی کہ میں نے کہا: اے رب! ( کیا لوگوں پر عذاب آ جائے گا ) جبکہ میں ان کے درمیان موجود ہوں؟ ۔ نافع کہتے ہیں کہ میرا خیال ہے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ بھی فرمایا: میں نے ایک عورت کو دیکھا کہ اس کو اس کی بلی نوچ رہی تھی، میں نے پوچھا: اس کا سبب کیا ہے؟ فرشتوں نے بتایا کہ اس عورت نے اسے باندھ رکھا تھا یہاں تک کہ وہ بھوک کی وجہ سے مر گئی، نہ اس نے اسے کھلایا اور نہ چھوڑا کہ وہ زمین کے کیڑے مکوڑے کھا لیتی ۱؎۔

It was narrated that Asma’ bint Abu Bakr said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed the eclipse prayer. He stood for a long time, then he bowed for a long time, then he stood up for a long time, then he bowed for a long time, then he stood up, then he prostrated for a long time, then he sat up, then he prostrated for a long time. He stood for a long time, then he bowed for a long time, then he stood up for a long time, then he bowed for a long time, then he stood up, then he prostrated for a long time, then he sat up, then he prostrated for a long time. Then he finished and said: ‘Paradise was brought close to me, so that if I had dared, I could have brought you some of its fruits. And Hell was brought near to me, until I said: “O Lord, am I one of them?” Nafi’ said: “I think that he said: ‘And I saw a woman being scratched by a cat that belonged to her. I said: “What is wrong with this woman?” They said: “She detained it until it died of hunger; she did not feed it and she did not let it loose to eat of the vermin of the earth.”
