أَخْبَرَنَا وَاصِلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ ابْنِ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ، يَقُولُ: مَا أُبَالِي شَرِبْتُ الْخَمْرَ، أَوْ عَبَدْتُ هَذِهِ السَّارِيَةَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ .
ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے تھے کہ میں پروا نہیں کرتا ( یعنی اس میں کوئی فرق نہیں سمجھتا ) کہ شراب پیوں یا اللہ جل جلالہ کے علاوہ اس ستون کو پوجوں۔
It was narrated from Abu Burdah bin Abi Musa, : That his father used to say: I do not see any difference between drinking Khamr and worshipping this column instead of Allah the Mighty and Sublime.
