أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدٌ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ الطُّفَيْلِ الْجَزَرِيِّ، قَالَ: كَتَبَ إِلَيْنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ: لَا تَشْرَبُوا مِنَ الطِّلَاءِ حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ ثُلُثَاهُ وَيَبْقَى ثُلُثَهُ، وَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ .
عبدالملک بن طفیل جزری کہتے ہیں کہ عمر بن عبدالعزیز نے ہمیں لکھا: طلاء مت پیو، جب تک کہ اس کے دو حصے ( جل کر ) ختم نہ ہو جائیں اور ایک حصہ باقی رہ جائے اور ہر نشہ لانے والی چیز حرام ہے۔
It was narrated that 'Abdul-Malik bin At-Tufail Al-Jazari said: Umar bin 'Abdul-Aziz wrote to us, saying: 'Do not drink the thickened juice of grapes (obtained by boiling it down) until two-third of it has gone and one-third is left. And every intoxicant is unlawful.'
