اسود بن شیبان سدوسی بیان کرتے ہیں کہ   میں نے عطا سے سنا ایک شخص نے ان سے پوچھا: ہم لوگ سفر پر نکلتے ہیں تو ہمیں بازاروں میں مشروب نظر آتے ہیں، ہمیں یہ نہیں معلوم ہوتا کہ وہ کن برتنوں میں تیار ہوئے ہیں؟ انہوں نے کہا: ہر نشہ لانے والی چیز حرام ہے، انہوں نے ( اپنا سوال ) دہرایا تو انہوں نے کہا: جو چیزیں نشہ لانے والی ہوں وہ سب حرام ہیں، انہوں نے پھر دہرایا تو انہوں نے کہا: جو میں تم سے کہہ رہا ہوں اصل وہی ہے۔

Al-Aswad bin Shaiban As-Sadusi said: I heard 'Ata' being asked by a man: 'We travel and drinks are offered to us in the marketplaces, and we do not know what kind of vessels they were prepared in.'
