أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُوعِ فَإِنَّهُ بِئْسَ الضَّجِيعُ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخِيَانَةِ فَإِنَّهَا بِئْسَتِ الْبِطَانَةُ .
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کہا کرتے تھے: «اللہم إني أعوذ بك من الجوع فإنه بئس الضجيع وأعوذ بك من الخيانة فإنها بئست البطانة» ”اے اللہ! میں بھوک سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں کیونکہ وہ برا ساتھی ہے، اور خیانت سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں کیونکہ وہ بری خصلت ( عادت ) ہے“۔
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-ju'I, fa innahu bi'sad-daji'u, wa a'udhu bika minal-khiyanati, fa innahu bi'satil-bitanah (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from hunger, for it is a bad companion, and I seek refuge with You from treachery, for it is a bad thing to hide in one's heart.)'

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] stopped delivering his Khutbah and turned to me. A chair was brought, and I think its legs were of iron. The Messenger of Allah [SAW] sat down on it and started to teach me what Allah has taught him, then he went and completed his Khutbah.'
