أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ، عَنْ ابْنِ فُضَيْلٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق، عَنْ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَعَوَاتٌ لَا يَدَعُهُنَّ، كَانَ يَقُولُ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ، وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ .
انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی کچھ دعائیں تھیں جنہیں آپ ( پڑھنا ) نہیں چھوڑتے تھے: آپ فرماتے: «اللہم إني أعوذ بك من الهم والحزن والعجز والكسل والبخل والجبن وغلبة الرجال» ”اے اللہ! میں فکر و سوچ اور پریشانی سے، عاجزی و سستی سے، کنجوسی و بزدلی سے اور لوگوں کے غالب آنے سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں“۔
It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] had supplications that he never omitted to recite. He used to say: 'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi, wal-hazani, wal-'ajzi, wal-kasali, wal-bukhli, wal-jubni, wa ghalabatar-rijal (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from worry, grief, incapacity, laziness, miserliness, cowardice and being overpowered by (other) men.)

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] stopped delivering his Khutbah and turned to me. A chair was brought, and I think its legs were of iron. The Messenger of Allah [SAW] sat down on it and started to teach me what Allah has taught him, then he went and completed his Khutbah.'
