أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْعُمْرَى وَالرُّقْبَى ، قُلْتُ: وَمَا الرُّقْبَى، قَالَ: يَقُولُ الرَّجُلُ لِلرَّجُلِ هِيَ لَكَ حَيَاتَكَ فَإِنْ فَعَلْتُمْ فَهُوَ جَائِزَةٌ.
عطاء سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عمریٰ اور رقبیٰ سے روکا ہے، ( راوی حدیث عبدالکریم کہتے ہیں کہ ) میں نے ( عطاء سے ) پوچھا: رقبیٰ کیا ہے؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: آدمی آدمی سے کہے کہ یہ چیز زندگی بھر کے لیے تمہاری ہے، اگر تم نے اس طرح کہہ کر دیا تو یہ چیز نافذ ہو گی یعنی ہمیشہ کے لیے اس کی ہو جائے گی جسے تم نے دی ہے۔
Abdul-Karim narrated from 'Ata', who said: The Messenger of Allah forbade 'Umra and Ruqba. I said: What is Ruqba? He said: When one man says to another: 'This belongs to you for the rest of your life.' But if you do that, it is permissible.
