أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، وَهِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: اسْتَأْذَنَ عَلَيَّ عَمِّي أَفْلَحُ بَعْدَمَا نَزَلَ الْحِجَابُ، فَلَمْ آذَنْ لَهُ، فَأَتَانِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَسَأَلْتُهُ، فَقَالَ: ائْذَنِي لَهُ، فَإِنَّهُ عَمُّكِ ، قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّمَا أَرْضَعَتْنِي الْمَرْأَةُ، وَلَمْ يُرْضِعْنِي الرَّجُلُ، قَالَ: ائْذَنِي لَهُ تَرِبَتْ يَمِينُكِ فَإِنَّهُ عَمُّكِ .
ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ میرے چچا افلح نے پردہ کی آیت کے اترنے کے بعد میرے پاس آنے کی اجازت طلب کی، تو میں نے انہیں اجازت نہیں دی، پھر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم میرے پاس تشریف لائے، تو میں نے آپ سے اس بارے میں پوچھا۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ”انہیں اجازت دو کیونکہ وہ تمہارے چچا ہیں“، میں نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! مجھے تو عورت نے دودھ پلایا ہے مرد نے نہیں پلایا ہے ( وہ میرے محرم کیسے ہو گئے ) ، آپ نے فرمایا: ”تم انہیں ( اندر ) آنے کی اجازت دو، تمہارے ہاتھ میں مٹی لگے ( تمہیں نہیں معلوم؟ ) وہ تمہارے چچا ہیں“۔
It was narrated that 'Aishah said: My paternal uncle Aflah asked permission to enter upon me after the (Verse of) Hijab had been revealed, but I did not let him in. The Prophet came to me and I asked him (about that) and he said: 'Let him in, for he is your paternal uncle.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the woman breast-fed me, not the man.' He said: 'Let him in, may your hands be rubbed with dust, for he is your uncle.'

Narrated 'Ata': It was narrated that 'Ata' said: We attended the funeral of Maimunah, the wife of the Prophet, with Ibn 'Abbas in Sarif. Ibn 'Abbas said: 'This is Maimunah; when you lift up her bier, do not rock it nor shake it. Then Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, revealed: 'You can postpone whom you will of them, and you may receive whom you will.' I said: 'By Allah, I see that your Lord is quick to respond to your wishes.'

Narrated Sahl bin Sa'd: It was narrated that Sahl bin Sa'd said: I was among the people when a woman said: 'I offer myself (in marriage) to you, O Messenger of Allah, see what you think of me.' A man stood up and said: 'Marry me to her.' He said: 'Go and find (something), even if it is an iron ring.' So he went, but he could not find anything, not even an iron ring. So the Messenger of Allah said: 'Do you have (memorized) any surahs of the Qur'an?' He said: 'Yes.' So he married him to her on the basis of what he knew of surahs of the Qur'an.
