أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قالت:‏‏‏‏ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُسَيْدَ بْنَ حُضَيْرٍ وَنَاسًا يَطْلُبُونَ قِلَادَةً كَانَتْ لِعَائِشَةَ نَسِيَتْهَا فِي مَنْزِلٍ نَزَلَتْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ وَلَيْسُوا عَلَى وُضُوءٍ وَلَمْ يَجِدُوا مَاءً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَصَلَّوْا بِغَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ آيَةَ التَّيَمُّمِ . قَالَ أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ:‏‏‏‏ جَزَاكِ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَوَاللَّهِ مَا نَزَلَ بِكِ أَمْرٌ تَكْرَهِينَهُ إِلَّا جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَكَ وَلِلْمُسْلِمِينَ فِيهِ خَيْرًا.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسید بن حضیر رضی اللہ عنہ اور کچھ اور لوگوں کو بھیجا، یہ لوگ ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کا ہار ڈھونڈ رہے تھے جسے وہ اس جگہ بھول گئیں تھیں جہاں وہ  ( آرام کرنے کے لیے )  اتری تھیں،  ( اسی اثناء میں )  نماز کا وقت ہو گیا، اور یہ لوگ نہ تو باوضو تھے اور نہ ہی انہیں  ( کہیں )  پانی ملا، تو انہوں نے بلا وضو نماز پڑھ لی، پھر ان لوگوں نے اس کا ذکر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کیا، تو اللہ عزوجل نے تیمم کی آیت نازل فرمائی، تو اسید بن حضیر رضی اللہ عنہ نے  ( ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے کہا )  اللہ آپ کو اچھا بدلہ دے، اللہ کی قسم! جب بھی آپ کے ساتھ کوئی ایسا واقعہ پیش آیا جسے آپ ناگوار سمجھتی رہیں، تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس میں آپ کے لیے اور تمام مسلمانوں کے لیے بہتری رکھ دی۔

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent Usaid bin Hudair and some other people to look for a necklace that 'Aishah had left behind in a place where she had stopped (while traveling). The time for prayer came and they did not have Wudu', and they could not find any water, so they prayed without Wudu'. They mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and Allah, the Mighty and Sublime revealed the verse of Tayammum. Usaid bin Hudair said: 'May Allah reward you with good, for by Allah, nothing ever happened to you that you dislike, but Allah makes it good for you and the Muslims.'

Hadith 4

It was narrated from Abu Burdah that Abu Musa said: I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) when he was using the Siwak and with me were two men of the Ash'aris - one on my right and the other on my left - who were seeking to be appointed as officials. I said: 'By the One Who sent you as a Prophet with the truth, they did not tell me why they wanted to come with me and I did not realize that they were seeking to be appointed as officials.' And I could see his Siwak beneath his lip, then it slipped and he said: 'We do not' - or; 'We will never appoint as an official anyone who seeks that. Rather you should go.' So he sent his (Abu Musa) to Yemen, then he sent Mu'adh bin Jabal to go after him - may Allah be pleased with them.

Abdur-Rahman bin Abu 'Atiq said: My father told me: 'I heard 'Aishah say, (narrating) from the Prophet (ﷺ): Siwak is a means of purification for the mouth and is pleasing to the Lord.
