أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فِيمَا يَحْكِيهِ عَنْ رَبِّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، قَالَ: أَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ مِنْ عِبَادِي خَرَجَ مُجَاهِدًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاتِي، ضَمِنْتُ لَهُ أَنْ أَرْجِعَهُ، إِنْ أَرْجَعْتُهُ بِمَا أَصَابَ مِنْ أَجْرٍ، أَوْ غَنِيمَةٍ، وَإِنْ قَبَضْتُهُ غَفَرْتُ لَهُ وَرَحِمْتُهُ .
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک حدیث قدسی میں اپنے رب سے نقل فرماتے ہیں: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا: میرے بندوں میں سے جو بھی بندہ میری رضا چاہتے ہوئے اللہ کے راستے میں جہاد کے لیے نکلا تو میں اس کے لیے ضمانت لیتا ہوں کہ اگر میں اس کو لوٹاؤں گا ( یعنی زندہ واپس گھر بھیجوں گا ) تو لوٹاؤں گا اجر و ثواب اور غنیمت دے کر اور اگر اس کی روح قبض کر لوں گا تو اس کو بخش دوں گا اور اسے اپنی رحمت سے نوازوں گا“۔
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar, from the Prophet (ﷺ), of what he related from his Lord, the Mighty and Sublime: And of My slaves who goes out as a Mujahid striving in the cause of Allah, seeking my pleasure, I guarantee that I will bring him back with whatever he had earned as reward or spoils of war, and if I take his (soul) I will forgive him and have mercy on him.

Hadith 3087
Narrated It was narrated that Ibn Abbas said: “When the Prophet was expelled from Makkah, Abu Bakr said to him: ‘They have driven out their Prophet, verily to Allah we belong and to Him we return. They are surely doomed.’ Then it was revealed: ‘Permission to fight (against disbelievers) is given to those (believers) who are fought against, because they have been wronged; and surely, Allah is able to give them (believers) victory.’ Then I knew that there would be fighting.” Ibn Abbas said: “This is the first Verse that was revealed concerning fighting.”
